Job Description:
GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) is the corporate social responsibility arm of the GMR Group. It takes up activities with communities around the projects taken up by the Group. The thrust areas of its activities include: Education, Health, Hygiene and Sanitation, Empowerment and Livelihoods development.
GMRVF is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Program Officer based in Shamshabad, Hyderabad. The appointment would be on contractual basis for a period of one year subject to renewal on the basis of performance.
Essential Responsibilities:
Be able to build and manage the programs in the field
Develop an effective communication network and build strong relationships with community stakeholders and NGOs
Mentor a strong team of community volunteers at community level
Plan and carry out community level activities in line with thrust areas
Develop innovative initiatives for employee involvement and manage these for larger participation
Must have good exposure to working on education initiatives
Monitor programs, report on program outcomes regularly.
Essentially pro-active / multi-tasking and result-oriented
Coordinate and prepare MIS and other reports

Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience:
Masters in Social Work or any other relevant discipline, with about 5 years of experience in a reputed NGO or similar organizations. Experience in education related programs would be an advantage. Incumbent must be systematic and meticulous, with ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. Ability to work in a team and communications (written and verbal) in English and Telugu are mandatory.

UG: Any Graduate – Any Specialization
PG:M.A – Sociology, Any Postgraduate – Any Specialization
