Projects cited by CM in his PPP were launched by Congress: Jana

Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K Jana Reddy has made it clear that the projects mentioned in the power point presentation given by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the Legislative Assembly were launched during the Congress regime.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Jana Reddy said the previous Congress governments prepared plans to provide irrigation water to 65 lakh acres out of 112 lakh acres planned by the TRS government. He said the Pranahitha project was launched during Congress government. Palamuru, Dindi were only new projects planned by the TRS government, he said, adding that many projects’ works from 50 percent to 90 percent were completed during previous Congress regime. But the TRS government was working to fulfill the targets set by the previous Congress government, he said.

“The Chief Minister has revealed in his power point presentation that the redesigning will be taken up for Pranahitha project and re-engineering will be taken up for Dummugudem, Rudramakota projects. The TRS government has taken up redesigning only to three to four projects and taken up only two new projects”, he said. He said the Congress party has taken up a study on the possibility of diverting the water from Thummidihatti and preparing a blue-print, map privately and it will take some time. (NSS)
