Rail Budget Disappoints TS, AP People

Hyderabad: The Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has failed to satisfy the people of the two Telugu States in the Railway budget.
It may be mentioned here that the Union government had promised, while bifurcating the State, creation of Visakha Railway Zone, but the Railway Minister hasn’t spoken about it in the Railway budget.
The Railway Minister hasn’t extended support to the MMTS from Hyderabad to Yadadri, and not sanctioned Kazipet Railway coach factory in the Telangana state.
The main development issues in the two Telugu States are: Nadikudi-Srikalahasthi line, Macherla-Miryalaguda, Guntur- Gunthkallu. Bhuvanagiri – Nadikudi, and Metro extension up to the Yadadri; Double line projects to the Kadapa-Bangalore, Thumkuru -Rayadurgam, Bhimavaram-Narasapuram, Nidadavolu, and Devarapalli-Penugonda. The Minister has not mentioned of these projects.
He introduced only special trains to the pilgrim stations, smart coaches, charging points, IVRS numbers and WIFI availability in the trains. The Minister hasn’t proposed any new trains, not extended any trains, and not allotted founds to the earlier projects.
Suresh Prabhu stated WIFI services has been provided by the Central government, but the WIFI services were being providing by the Micro Soft and Google organizations.
The only factor that came as a relief to the common man is that of not increasing the fares. (NSS)
