Ranga Reddy: School teacher suspended for beating 35 students

Hyderabad: A school teacher was suspended for beating 35 students on Saturday, by the Ranga Reddy district education officer at ZP Girls High School, Amangal.

As per a report by DC, Hindi teacher Sujana Prakash Kumar from ZPHS allegedly beat the students of Class VI with a neem stick after she saw them celebrating the birthday of one of the girls in the classroom.

The teacher has been booked under Section 324 of the IPC and Section 75 of the JJ Act on Friday after one of the parents saw weals on the child’s hands and complained to the Amangal police.

An order also was issued by DEO stating Ms Sujana Kumar had been suspended with immediate effect for violating the Right to Education Act.
