Hyderabad: According to the new system to be introduced with effect from 21st April, for registration of two wheelers and high security number plates, the owners need not go to transport office.
Joint Commissioner of the Dept. of Transport, Mr. B. Venkateshwarlu told that the dealers will collect the registration fee prescribed by the transport Dept. The Dept. of Transport intends to shift the entire process of registration to the automobile showrooms phase wise. This system was experimented successfully in Delhi, Gujarat, Mumbai and Pune. Recently, this system has also been introduced in Chennai. In Telangana, 8000 new vehicles (Cars and Two wheelers) are sold every day.
