Revanth seeks Central security, files plea in HC

Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy today filed a petition in the Hyderabad High Court seeking security from the Centre.

In his petition, Revanth Reddy said he has no confidence in the Telangana government and its police about his security. “As I was getting threatening calls, I pray the High Court to direct the Centre to provide him security”, he said. The State government also filed a counter on the direction of the court.

Earlier, speaking to the media, Revanth Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has forgotten Telangana martyrs, whose supreme sacrifices helped achieve separate State. He questioned what happened to real Telangana protagonists when KCR was claiming those who betrayed Telangana agitation as his right hand. The TDP leader criticised the TRS for holding plenary in Khammam district when the people of the State have been facing severe drought situation.

Claiming TDP belonged to poor people, Revanth Reddy reminded that TDP government had brought even fodder for animals in trains. (NSS)
