Rs 1055 spent for water scheme: Harish

The Government has spent Rs 1055 cr for completion of flagship Mission Bhagiratha program in Gajwel in Medak district in six months. This was stated by Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao after reviewing the arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for launching the piped water scheme at Komatibanda area in Gajwel of Medak district on Aug 7. Speaking on the occasion the minister reiterated that the government is committed to supply safe drinking water at each household in the state as promised.

Narendra Modi will address a public meeting after formally launching the Mission Bhagiratha program he said. Harish asked the TRS party activists to make efforts for bringing more number of public to make Modi’s visit to the district a huge success.

Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy said that necessary buses will be arranged for public for the prime minister visit. Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman V Prashanth Reddy who also inspected the arrangements at Komatibanda area said that about 2 lakh of people will be gathered for Modi’s program. The people of Gajwel are lucky as the Prime Minister is going to launch the drinking water scheme, he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took up this big program to prevent the women and girls crossing roads to collect potable waters he added.  (NSS)
