School principal held for abusing student

Hyderabad: Uppal police arrested a private school principal for abusing a minor student. N Naveen Kumar, 27, the principal and partner of a private school in Bharatnagar was arrested on Saturday, on charges of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl student of the school.

Angry relatives of the VIII class girl made the girl beat the accused with the slippers. According to the police, the incident took place three days ago and came to light after the victim informed her parents on Friday evening. The girl told her parents that she was sexually harassed by Naveen Kumar, R/O Peerzadiguda, who runs the private school, Jyoshi Vidya Mandir.

Police registered a case under various sections of the IPC, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the SC/ST Atrocities Act. Y Narsimha Reddy, Inspector, Uppal told that efforts on to verify the facts.
