Scribes hail KCR gesture of felicitating Pothuri

Several senior journalists from Telangana today showered praises and eulogized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for calling on senior journalist and former Press Academy Chairman Pothuri Venkateshwar Rao and felicitating him on his birthday at his residence.
Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana said, “Honoring Pothuri is like honoring the entire journalist community in the State”. In a letter addressed to KCR, Allam Narayana stated it is rare incident that the Chief Minister came to meet a senior scribe and gave him due respect.
In a letter, senior journalist K Ramachandra Murthy extended thanks to the Chief Minister for his gesture of meeting Pothuri with his Cabinet colleagues which is a rare incident. In another message of greetings to KCR, an elated Pothuri said, “It is great that the CM, who is kind enough, has come to small persons like us”. Pothuri also said KCR leadership is a blessing for Telangana in 21st century. He hoped KCR will achieve more goals in his future endeavors. Extending thanks on behalf of the IJU, its secretary-general Devulapalli Amar, in a message appreciated KCR for setting aside his eminence and designation and coming down to elderly persons like Pothuri to greet him which is a good culture and tradition. Some other senior scribes also extended heartfelt thanks to KCR, a CMO release said. (NSS)
