Siasat shakes MWD out of slumber, board of AP Waqf Board removed

Siasat Daily, by publishing a report, has shaken Minority Welfare Department out of slumber. Following the publication of news in Siasat Daily regarding the board of AP Waqf Board still hanging on at the Waqf Board office, the department finally directed to remove the board immediately from the Hajj House. It will be replaced by the board of Telangana State Waqf Board.

Secretary Minority welfare Syed Omer Jaleel reached the Waqf Board office and directed the officials to remove the board. He told Siasat that he had already invited officials’ attention towards the matter however no action has been taken so far. He asked the officials to immediately remove the board of Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board and fix the board of Telangana State Waqf Board in its place, as the Hajj House building is owned by Telangana Waqf Board. It must be noted that Siasat had published a report on January 16 inviting authorities’ attention towards the matter.
