Salem: After a shocking incident in Chennai, where a young female employee of Infosys was brutally hacked to death in broad-day light at the railway station, a six-year-old girl’s was killed in Salem in Tamil Nadu, and her body was found in a cooking vessel.
A class 2 student, was coaxed by a 17-year-old school drop out boy. Police said the boy took the girl to his house and assaulted her. He allegedly strangled the child after panicking he hid the girl’s body in the kitchen vessel.
When the girl did not return home her father tried to search her where he was told by many that she was seen with the boy. He immediately rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint.
During the search the police came across the boy who tried to run away but was nabbed by the cops. There is no confirmation by the police whether there was rape or not. Further investigation is carried on.
