LUCKNOW: After the hi-tech rath yatra Vikas sey Vijay ki Ore by Samajwadi Party, the Bhartiya Janata Party too has embarked upon its journey through Rath Yatra.

For BJP, it is Parivartan Yatra which begins today from Saharanpur. The slogan will be Purna Bahumat Sampurna Vikas. Unlike the SP’s Rath which is on a bus from Mercedes Benz, the BJP’s Rath has been prepared on Eicher truck. But in no way it is less than SP’s Rath.

For BJP, a galaxy of leaders will be the face of their Rath Yatra.

Besides PM Narendra Modi and national president Amit Shah other leaders as Rajnath Singh, Uma Bharti, Kalraj Mishra and state president Keshav Maurya will be the faces in Rath Yatra.

The major inference from the galaxy of leaders is that BJP has well planned its strategy to focus on both forwards and backward leader in the state.

There will be four Parivartan Yatras across the UP. The first one from Saharanpur begins today while the remaining will begin from Jhansi, Sonbhadra and Ballia on 6,8 and 9 November respectively. Needless to say that whole state will be covered through these Parivartan Yatras. Rajnath Singh who is also MP from Lucknow will attend the start ceremony of these Yatras. Even PM Modi will address six rallies.

The rath from Saharanpur will reach Lucknow after covering 109 assembly segments while the one from Jhansi will reach Lucknow after 49 days of journey covering 79 assembly seats. The Rath from Sonbhadra will take 47 days to reach Lucknow by passing through 108 assembly seats. The last Rath will reach Lucknow after 46 days after covering 107 assembly seats.

Convener of Rath Yatra Mahendra Singh along with state president Keshav Maurya in Lucknow informed that Rath Yatra will connect almost every seat in UP before culminating the journey in Lucknow. As per schedule, the journey will be of 17000 kilometers and there will be 36 big and 380 assembly seat level meetings. Nearly 10000 persons will be designated as Parivartan Saarthi and there will be 50000 Gram Chaupal meetings. The big meetings will be telecast live on facebook while a toll free number 750-540-3403 has been dedicated through which a person can get associated with Yatra by giving a missed call.

UP is thus all set to witness a Rath Yatra affair in coming days with both SP and BJP competing for space and crowd through their Rath Yatras.
