Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan to sign agreement on visa exemption

Colombo, Aug. 7 : Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan will sign an agreement on the exemption from the requirement of visas for diplomat and service passport holders.

According to the Colombo Page web site, the agreement will be entered into with the objective of improving friendly relations between the two countries and facilitating free and smooth movement of citizens between Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan.

Under the agreement, both Kazakhs and Sri Lankans holding valid diplomatic and or service official passports may enter or transit through either of the two countries without visas for a period of thirty days from the date of entry. (ANI)
