SRK, Kajol win ‘Black Lady’ at 56th Filmfare Awards

Mumbai, January 30: Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol won coveted ‘Black Lady’ statuette at the 56th Filmfare Awards held here last night.
The pair won the Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively for their roles in ”My Name is Khan” and director Karan Johar was awarded the Best Director award.

The Best Film award was picked by 2010 box office jaggernaut ”Dabaang”.

Industry icon Amitabh Bachchan was commemorated for four-decade dedication to the film industry. Actress Madhuri Dixit was also presented with a special honour for her contribution to the film industry for the last 25 years.

Legendary singer Manna De was honoured with ”Lifetime Achievement Award” for his outstanding contribution to the Indian cinema.

Musician Sajid and Lalit Pandit were honoured with the Best Music Director award for ”Dabaang”. Choreographer Farah Khan bagged the Best Choreography award for ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ song from ”Tees Mar Khan”. Vidya Balan has won the Critics Award for Best Actress for ”Ishqiya” The 56th Idea Filmfare Awards would be telecast on February six exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television.
