Students got beaten by locals for being Kashmiri

Jaipur: In the university of Mewar, which is located in Chittorgarh, a few Kashmiri students were beaten up by locals. A news of Indian Express reported the incident.

The students were gone out in the market near the campus on Wednesday. Where they had tussled with locals for an issue of auto fare, an inspector, Dinesh Kumar informed. While a Kashmiri student told that his friends were beaten after the locals came to know they were from Kashmir.

Another Kashimiri student informed that his friends were taken to the hospital after they were injured by locals, who brought cricket bats. The locals also shattered their mobile phones, a student, Tauseef Ahmad told.

An official of Mewar University has confirmed that the situation is now under control. An FIR has also been lodged against the locals.
