Submit vacant medical posts report: CS


Telangana Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma today asked the Health officials across the State to submit the details pertaining to vacant posts in the Medical and Health Department.

The Chief Secretary held a high-level review meeting with the officials concerned at Secretariat here on Friday and sought a report on the need for setting up of medical colleges in every district and modernizing NIMS Hospital. After obtaining all details, the vacant posts will be filled by taking a nod from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said.

Rajiv Sharma asked them to expedite the process of finding the vacant posts in the Medical and Health wing and submit the report at the earliest. The aim of the government was to run the hospitals to provide the best of the services to the poor and middle class sections, he said. He also asked the officials to submit a report and take necessary measures to modernize the NIMS Hospital with all facilities, research, labs, towers construction, equipment and staff and improving bed strength.

Regular programs and activities of Medical, Nursing and Dental Councils should continue as usual, he said, adding that treatment for swine flu cases should speed up and create awareness among the people. Rajiv Sharma asked the officials concerned to control the use of Calcium Carbide to ripen fruits by setting up of Ethylene chambers in the markets. He reviewed on NABH hospital, 108, 104, NHM, AIDS Control Society functioning. “We are affirmed to provide incomparable medical services to the people by taking their feedback. The officials at towns and villages should improve services to cater to the needs of the patients. Pharma City construction, blood banks, generic medicines use, appointment of tribunal members in pharma councils are other issues discussed in the meeting”, he added. (NSS)
