Sugar mill prices decline on weak demand

New delhi: Sugar millgate prices eased by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today due to weak demand amid selling pressure from mills.

Marketmen said besides reduced buying by stockists and bulk consumers, increased supplies from mills mainly brought down sweetener prices.

In the millgate section, sugar Asmoli, Dhanora and Simbholi moved down by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,780, Rs 3,750 and Rs 3,780 per quintal.

Prices of Baghpat, Nazibabad and Modinagar also eased by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,760, Rs 3,740 and Rs 3,720 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets – Rs 45.00-50.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 4,000-4,100, S-30 Rs 3,990-4,090.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,720-3,820, S-30 Rs 3,710-3,810.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 3,740, Kinnoni Rs 3,820, Asmoli Rs 3,780, Dorala Rs 3,735, Budhana Rs 3,740,Thanabhavan Rs 3,730, Dhanora Rs 3,750, Simbholi Rs 3,780, Khatuli Rs 3,790, Dhampur Rs 3,710, Ramala Rs 3,755, Anupshaher Rs 3,750, Baghpat Rs 3,760, Morna Rs 3,760, Sakoti Rs 3,730, Chandpur Rs 3,720, Nazibabad Rs 3,740 and Modinagar 3,720.
