New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday left for a two day visit to Palestine and Israel.
This is the EAM’s first visit to the West Asia region which comes after the state visit of President Pranab Mukherjee to the nations in October 2015.
“Into the heart of West Asia. @SushmaSwaraj leaves on her first visit as EAM to Palestine and Israel,” Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Vikas Swaroop tweeted.
She will be accompanied by Secretary (East) Anil Wadhwa and other officials from the MEA.
During her visit Swaraj will inaugurate the Palestine Digital Learning and Innovation Centre in Ramallah.
