Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee started preparations for 2019 elections. It is getting the survey reports from two voluntary agencies. It is likely that 35 candidates of 2014 elections may not get tickets this time. Candidates who were defeated 2-3 times with more than 25000 votes are also facing difficulties.
On the advise from Mr. Rahul Gandhi, his political advisor, Mr. Prashant Kishore is in contact with local Congress leaders. Mr. Kishore played an important role in the Punjab and UP elections. Telangana Congress committee is seriously considering finalizing the list of Congress candidates one year in advance. It will also take into account the reasons for the defeat of Congress in the last elections. Candidates who were defeated from a constituency for two or three times may not be considered for the next elections. However, final report would be sent to Congress High Command.
