TDP leaders recall Dr Ambedkar services

The 125th Jayanathi of Dr B R Ambedkar was celebrated at NTR trust bhavan, headquarters of TDP, by lighting a lamp and garlanding portrait of Dr Ambedkar.

Telangana TDP president L Ramana paid tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar and garlanded his portrait while Mothkupally Narasimhulu and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy lit the lamp. Recalling the services of Dr Ambedkar, Ramana said it was principles and values of Dr Ambedkar that made Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister of the country, who used to sell tea on railway platform. He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has no respect towards Dalits and women as he has not given a berth in his cabinet either to a Dalit or a woman.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravula said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who always follow the path of Ambedkar, has decided to install a 120ft high Ambedkar statue at Amaravathi. Every one should strive to achieve ideals of Ambedkar, he said.

Union minister Sujana Choudhary, Motukpally Narasimhulu and TDP national official spokesperson E Peddireddy criticized the policies adopted by the TRS government alleging that Dalits, Madigas and women have no respect in the State. The TDP leader also urged all political parties to extend their support the protest dharna launched by Motukpally Narasimhulu at NTR ghat demanding inclusion of Dalit and women in KCR cabinet before June 2.

Party’s women president Bandru Shobharani said there were 60 per cent women in the State population. But KCR failed to induct even a single woman in his cabinet. State party working president A Revanth Reddy, Buchilingam, Amarnathbabu, MLC T D Janardhan Reddy, SC cell president Botla Srinivas and others attended the function and paid floral tributes to Ambedkar.
