TDP suspends MLC Deepak Reddy from party

Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has suspended its MLC (AP) Deepak Reddy, who was recently arrested in Hyderabad for his alleged involvement in a land forgery case there. The suspension decision was taken by the party leadership at a TDP Co-ordination committee convened by the Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence here today.

TDP Andhra Pradesh President K Kala Venkata Rao announced the decision to the media. The meeting discussed about Deepak Reddy issue for about an hear. Chandrababu is learnt to have made it clear that there was no question of keeping in the party those who are facing corruption charges.
It may be mentioned that Deepak Reddy is the nephew of the influential TDP MP and businessman JC Diwakar Reddy. Deepak was elected as the member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council in March this year.

Ganta – Ayyanna Rift

The TDP Co-ordination Committee also discussed about the two Ministers from Visakhapatnam District—Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ayyanna Patrtudu—indulging in open criticism of each other. Chandrababu expressed his anger over the Ministers airing their views publicly, instead of bringing the matters to party High command. (NSS)
