Telangana bandh on Thursday likely: Naxalites active again

Hyderabad: Police is worried about the increasing activities of Naxalites in Telangana. It seems Maoists have decided to go against the Govt. Earlier, accept Hyderabad and RR Districts, all the Telangana Districts were suppose to be the strongholds of the Naxalites but now they have decided to extend their activities in Hyderabad and RR Districts.

Naxalites in the past:

In the past, Peoples’ War Group and Jan Shakti were active raising their voice against the anti-SC, ST, BC and Minorities policies. On the other day in Sirpur area of Adilabad, Maoists set ablaze three vehicles and one road roller. They also distributed their literature. They have decided to protest on 4th and 5th May by arranging a bandh in Telangana requesting the people to support the bandh. They have also threatened the contractors not to take up the work relating to Painganga project. District administration is worried about these explosive situations. Govt. should crush such activities.
