A 29-year-old Home Guard, attached to Gopalpuram Traffic Police Station here, died of dengue in a city hospital.
Raju Goud, a native of Nalgonda district in Telangana, was admitted to the hospital with high fever on September 21, Gopalpuram Traffic Police Inspector Mohd Abdul Majid said.
“Raju, initially took treatment at a hospital in Nalgonda and got admitted to a hospital here on September 21. While undergoing treatment it came to light that he was suffering from dengue, but he died last night,” the Inspector said.
Raju had been working as a Home Guard for the past five years, he said.
