Telangana table tennis championship concludes, Dy CM bats for more participation

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]: The third Telangana State Stag Inter District and State Ranking Table Tennis Championship, which was organised with an aim to develop enthusiasm towards the sport across the state, concluded here on Tuesday.

The tournament is conducted after every four years, where participants from across the nation take part.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, who was the chief guest at the event, lauded the effort of the organisers and urged Sports Minister Padma Rao to take steps to infuse confidence in players.

“Many kids participated in this match. Those who have taken part here are also state-level players. I would like to congratulate Ibrahim (Coordinator) and Rajan for their contribution, and who have trained our students to make the competitive. I would also urge Sports Minister Padma Rao to support the participants and take efforts to increase their morale,” Ali told ANI.

Nearly 664 participants took part in the four-day event, where 376 matches were played. (ANI)
