Terrorists’ hideouts busted, huge cache of arms seized in J-K

Awantipora: In a major blow to terrorist organisations, particularly Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, the Awantipora Police in collaboration with 42RR and 130 BN of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) busted two hideouts at Dadsara and Noorpora and seized cache of arms and ammunition and other articles in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Acting on secret information passed on May 30, the joint team raided the hideouts – at Dadsara, it was located at the residence of one Ghulam Nabi Mir, while at Noorpora, it was located at Government Middle School.

Confirming the occurrence, Awantipora Senior Superintendent of Police Shalinder Patel told ANI, “In a major blow to terrorist organisations, especially Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, we have busted two hideouts belonging to the organisation, which is banned. One at Noorpora and another at Dadsara, wherein we have recovered (seized) cache of arms and ammunition, including pistols grenades, live rounds, wireless sets among others.

“In this connection we have lodged an FIR (First Information Report) at the Awantipura Police Station and investigation has been set into motion,” said the SSP.

The case has been registered under section 13 of the ULA (P) Act and sections 7 and 25 of the Arms Act at the Awantipora Police Station. (ANI)
