Though protesting, all political parties are silent supporters of the move

I had some hopes that Congress will act and act fast. I did hope that the rest of the Opposition will rally behind the Congress if it takes the initiative. But neither Congress nor any other party took the initiative. Their only aim was to discredit the Government and reap political advantages out of it. None was interested to take advantage of the situation and turn India’s economy from corporate-friendly to the people-friendly. In private they may be thanking that an unpopular step aimed at benefiting the Corporate has been taken by BJP.

This could have been a movement of Reckoning. The whole country could have come on the streets if the Opposition had decided to take on the Government. But no political party looked determined. It appears that silently they are all the supporters of the Government’s “move against Black Money”. Else, they cannot afford to earn the ire of their Corporate masters whose economic theory is based on exacting as much as possible from the masses and the middle class through Income and Sales Taxes. The current economic theory exacts huge charges on income and purchases while there are no taxes on the huge wealth that the richest have been accumulating.

I have long argued that the so-called democracy has nothing to do with the people. It is neither the Government of the people, nor by the people nor for the people. It is instead Corporatocracy, a Government of the Corporate, run by the minions of the Corporate and for the Corporate. Every single party willingly or unwillingly succumbs to the designs of the Corporate. None has the guts and the power to challenge them and instead work for the masses.

In my works I have shown that all the current problems and the monstrous Economic Disparity can be reversed if the wealth instead of income and sales is taxed. Even if 5-10 pc tax is levied on the wealth of the people holding more than 10 crores worth of assets, the direction of the economy will take a U turn. If income is not taxed, there would be no Black Money, and the Government will get much higher revenues if wealth instead of sales and incomes are taxed. If there are no or minimal sales taxes, there will be a bigger turnover in the market and more and more goods will be circulated helping the economy in a big way. It is not the circulation of the currency but goods and services that really contribute to economy. If there is a curb on the Companies fixing the charges of their products – they charge 5-10 times more than what is justifiable – the people will gain.

But who cares for the people? Every single political party cares for the corporate because they all takes funds from them. The difference if any is marginal. Having said that however, I have no hesitation in saying that the way the Modi Government has bowed itself to the Corporate, perhaps no other political party ever has.

If Rahul Gandhi, Kejriwal or any other political leader wants to really work for the people, he will have to challenge the corporate-driven economy.

Normally optimistic, unfortunately for me, I have started becoming pessimistic about the whole scenario. Only a God-sent leader can perhaps bring a revolution required to challenge the Devil-governed system that prevails in the world.
