Threats from communal elements to Haj pilgrims, Hyderabad Police become alert

Hyderabad: After the advisory of Govt. of India to ensure full security to Haj pilgrims, Hyderabad Police became alert.

Hyderabad Police visited Haj House and examined the open land adjacent to it. The police pointed out that the two small gates of open land are in a very bad condition. Either they should be changed or the passage should be close to ensure the security of Haj pilgrims.

Despite clear instructions from Govt. of India, the attitude of AP Haj Committee seems to be non-serious. It is non-known how the security of Haj pilgrims of AP who are going to be accommodated in various hotels could be ensured. In these hotels, anybody can enter anytime.

It is a common practice that most of the Haj pilgrims who are accommodated in hotels go shopping in the city but this time, Haj committee has been advised to impose a ban on the movements of Haj pilgrims in the city. Strict vigil should be kept on the entry of unconcerned persons in and around Haj House.

It may be noted that in view of the threat posed by BJP MLA of UP to disturb Haj pilgrims, Central Ministry of Minority Affairs addressed confidential letters to the Chief Secretaries of various States to ensure the security of the Haj pilgrims.
