The North Zone Task Force police today arrested three persons for fabricating and supplying educational certificates of various degrees of Osmania University, JNTU, Intermediate marks memos and seized 136 fake certificates, three fake rubber stamps of Osmania University, a computer system, laptop and colour printers.
The accused Shaik Meera Basha of Yousufguda, D. Saibaba of A.P.Housing Board colony, Madannapet and G. Chandrashekar, a rubber stamps maker at Ameerpet crossroad were arrested and incriminating property was seized from their possession.
The modus operandi of the accused Shaik Meera Basha was to downloading marks memo, consolidates marks memos through net browsing, after collect the details of needy customers, he was preparing fake certificates and affix sign of Registrar, OU monogram which was procured from rubber stamp maker. Accused D. Saibaba used to collect some of original certificates from needy customers, scanning into the computer system, through Photoshop software designing, preparing fake education certificates, paste the signature of the registrar, University monogram on the fake certificates.
On Thursday, the North Zone police on receipt of a tip-off, conducted raids and apprehended Shaik Meera Basha along with rubber stamp maker G. Chandrashekar red-handedly at S.R.Nagar and D. Saibaba was apprehended in Madannapet. The police seized fake education certificates of Degree, B.Tech of Osmania, JNTU, Hyderabad, etc fake rubber stamps of Osmania University from the possession of above accused persons.
The accused and the seized material were handed over to SHOs of S.R.Nagar and Madannapet Police stations. The arrests were made under the supervision of B.Limba Reddy, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force by P. Balavanthaiah, Inspector of Police, North Zone Task Force Team with the assistance of Sis K.S.Ravi, P. ChandraShekar Reddy, B.Sravan Kumar and staff of North Zone Task Force team.Hyd.City. (NSS)
