Hyderabad: The three member wakf committee constituted by Telangana Wakf Board at its meeting held on 23rd May would visit Bhainsa to inspect wakf properties there. It will also review the wakf land pertaining to Muslim graveyard.
This sub-committee includes Maulana Akbar Nizamuddin, Mr. Malik Mutasim Khan (members) and Mr. M.A. Mannan Farooqui, CEO. The committee will be accompanied by surveyors and other officials. It will conduct public hearing of the representations of local residents. It will also explore the genuineness of the claim of Municipality about graveyard land. The boundaries of Wakf land would be earmarked. After earmarking the boundaries, a decision would be taken about the release of NOC. Bhainsa Municipality has requested for the issue of NOC for three Muslim graveyards.
It may be mentioned that local Muslims have been struggling for the protection of Abdullah Khan Muslim graveyard. It is reported that Bhainsa Municipality is making an attempt to claim this property as its own whereas Wakf Board has complete records of this land as Wakf property.
