TJAC chief requests Dattatraya to protect HCL

Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram on Saturday requested Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya to use his influence at the Centre to prevent closure of Hindustan Cable Limited (HCL).

Accompanied with HCL employees, Kodandaram called on the Union Minister and sought his intervention to prevent the proposed closure of HCL. He said that the previous UPA Government had constituted a board to revive the sick HCL. However, the Board could not take any concrete steps. He said that the employees were not getting salaries for the last one year.

Dattatraya assured the TPJAC Chairman and HCL employees that he would make effective representation with the Centre on this issue.(INN)
