Ramadan which will start day after tomorrow in India is a month of renunciation, praying, generosity and sacrifice. Not only spiritual benefits but also health benefits are linked with fasting during Ramadan. Few of the health benefits are

    Fasting during Ramadan will lead to increase in the production of White Blood Cell which boosts immunity.
    As per the studies, if food is not consumed for few hours, it will signal human body to produce more white blood cells which are the important part of immune system. These cells fight with bacteria, virus and other pathogens.

    During “Roza”, when food is not consumed, body will start utilizing fat as the source of energy. As body starts using fat as source of energy instead of glucose, it leads to breakdown of fat deposits.
