TPCC recalls Pandit Nehru’s services to nation

TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has said country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had fought for the country’s freedom and went to jail. Nehru also strove for welfare of the people after it achieved freedom by showing direction to the nation, he said.

 

The TPCC leaders paid floral tributes to Jawaharlal Nehru’s portrait at Gandhi Bhavan on the occasion of Nehru’s death anniversary on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti said Nehru laid a strong economic foundation to the nation and it has now become the third strongest economic force in the world.

 

Former PCC presidents V Hanumantha Rao, Ponnala Laxmaiah, MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi and others participated in the program. Earlier, Ponnala Laxmaiah, Mallu Ravi and other leaders garlanded Nehru’s statue at Abids. (NSS)
