Nalgonda, December 05: The body of TRS activist Kasoju Srikanth Chary, who succumbed to burns last night at the Apollo Hospitals at DMRL in Hyderabad, was cremated at his native place Podichedu in Mothkur mandal late this evening.
TRS leaders Etela Rajender, party official spokesperson G Jagadeeswar Reddy participated in funeral ceremony performed in the village. Speaking to mediapersons, the party leaders said ten persons died for the cause of Telangana during the last five days.
The students, they said, have intensified the agitation taking inspiration from 24-year-old Srikanth. The TRS leaders said they would strive to fulfill the desire of Srikanth and achieve separate Telangana.
They said that leaders of various political parties, advocates, doctors and others visited the body of Srikanth at the hospital.
Srikanth, pursuing physiotherapy in Hyderabad, was also elected as the L B Nagar TRS youth wing office-bearer a year back.
