Minister for Panchayatraj and Rural Development Jupalli Krishna Rao has declared that the State Government was committed for the welfare and empowerment of women in the State.
Starting this in the Assembly on Thursday, the Minister said the State government was working towards ensuring women become financially sound and required steps are being taken in this direction. There are four lakh women societies in the State and the government was ensuring that there was no financial dearth for them. When compared to 2012-13, the financial status of women now has gone up by three times, he added. (NSS)
