TRS Govt Making Local Bodies Inactive—Kishan Reddy

Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy today alleged that the TRS government is diverting village panchayat funds and making local bodies inactive.

Addressing the state executive meeting at Kompally here, Kishan Reddy accused the TRS government of failure in taking up and providing drought relief work.

 

Taking a dig at the TRS, the state BJP chief alleged that the TRS leaders are making tall promises in the State Assembly, but the benefits are not reaching the downtrodden. The state government is working against the spirit of the constitution, as it is foisting cases against the leaders of opposition parties without any reason.

 

Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, MLAs Dr K Laxman, NVSS Prabhakar, MLC Ramachander Rao,, party leaders Murlidhar Rao, Baddam Balredy and others are attending the meeting.

 

Kishan Reddy said that false cases were registered against union minister Bandaru Dattatreya and BJP MLC Ramachander Rao in connection with the UoH incidents.

Refuting the allegation that the centre is not giving funds to Telangana, the BJP chief said the centre is extending all possible help to Telangana for its development and some parties are trying to damage the image of Modi government by spreading false information.

It was not only TRS which fought for Telangana State, he said and added that the TRS government was giving importance to propaganda.

The state government has failed to prevent drought situation in the state and even to provide drinking water to the people, he said.(NSS)
