Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today alleged that the TRS government has totally ruined the future of landless poor, who were granted assigned government lands, as the same were clandestinely handed over to real estate sharks and land mafia in a mind-boggling manner.
Contending that after Miyapur land scam the Bandlaguda scam in the State capital has exposed the nefarious deals of the TRS leadership with the land mafia, he said a free and fair inquiry will unravel many more skeletons in the cupboard of three years of KCR regime and ensure justice to poor and landless people, he said. Shabbir said he had personally visited Bandlaguda mandal and Bandlaguda Khalsa village where he received numerous complaints about the land mafia grabbing government lands and also acquiring lands of poor by force.
In an open letter to the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the LOP demanded the Telangana CM KCR to order a free and fair inquiry and also direct the Revenue Authorities to take immediate possession of the land in compliance of the earlier orders of the High Court. ‘ If it is done KCR could utilize the same land for the construction of the Double Bed Room Housing scheme for the poorer sections ‘ the LOP said.
Shabbir said that the poor and landless were coerced to give away their prized land possessions for lack of proper documentation. The land mafia and brokers were making hay in the anarchic TRS regime by acquiring govt and assigned lands for a pittance with force and deceit and selling them to NRIs and IT workers who have bundles of money and there is no government intervention, till it is too late.
The LOP said that the Miyapur land scam had exposed a massive loss of revenue loss of over Rs.15,000 crore. Now with Bandlaguda scam, the loss could be much more, he added.
He said that Bandlaguda scam had emerged yet another land scam next to Miyapur scam comprising of approximately 79-04 acres in Sy.Nos. 103/12, 103/15, 103/17, 103/18, 103/19 and 103/20/1 of at Bandlaguda Khalsa village of Bandlaguda Mandal by the Pride India developers .’ They have promoted the Mahavir Institute of Science & Technology in the govt land without statutory permissions of GHMC for building permission and Nala conversion from the revenue authorities concerned’ he said in the letter.
As per the details of the case nearly 79.04 acres of had been assumed by the govt as a surplus land u/s U/s10(6) of ULC Act and was handed over to Tahsildar, Bandlaguda and was taken possession by the concerned Tahsildar. The land sharks with political clout had violated the order of Special Officer & Competent Authority, ULC, Hyderabad. One Sudarshan Reddy and others have exploited the anarchic situation in Revenue and Land Administration as there were no proper title deeds and under the guise, various litigations, have encroached upon the said valuable government surplus land. ‘ Why does the KCR govt remain a dumb spectator when the vested interests daringly promoted engineering college on the govt land ‘ he expressed shock.
He said the real estate sharks of Pride India developers had sold the encroached govt land into housing plots without obtaining layout permissions from the authorities concerned and blatantly violated the high court direction which had specially passed an order that “there should not be any action until further Orders issued” on the above Survey Numbers.
