Hyderabad: Stating that two Rajya Sabha seats will be of the TRS from Telangana State, Finance Minister Etala Rajender today said that other parties should support for unanimous election. Talking to reporters here the minister said that for the first time RS elections being conducted for two seats in Telangana after the state formation.
He also said that the MIM is giving support to the TRS for the RS elections. The two TRS candidates D Srinivas and Captain Lakshmikanth Rao will file nominations on May 31 at 11 am and MLAs, MLCs and party activists will participate. The RS elections will be conducted on June 11.
Rajender exuded confidence that they will easily win the RS elections as the party has adequate number of MLAs to elect. Rajender said that 40 MLAs need to select one MP for Rajya Sabha and the TRS has adequate strength. At this juncture the opposition parties which lack strength should support our leaders to win unanimously instead of contesting he suggested. (NSS)
