Telangana government has released the budget of Rs. 23 Cr. for Urdu Academy. Secretary Minority Welfare issued GO RT 103 with schemes and the budget allocated to each of them.
As per the GO, government had allocated 23 Cr. for Urdu Academy for the financial year 2016-17. 10 Cr would be spent for the schemes regarding promotion of Urdu and preservation of the language. 3 crores would be earmarked for Urdu computer training and vocational training. 10 Cr would be spent for construction of Urdu Ghar and function halls.
Director Secretary Urdu Academy has been requested to well implement the above mentioned 3 schemes and submit report on quarterly basis regarding disbursement of budget.
