TS to be ideal in farm sector: CM

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said Telangana will become ideal State at national level and Erravalli become a model village in Telangana State by increasing its farm productivity and achieving inclusive growth by catering to the needs of the people with a focus on welfare.
Addressing a public meeting at his Erravalli wherein two bedroom houses are nearing completion, KCR promised to provide the farmers with uniform facilities of water, power and fertilizers to the farmers at the same time to achieve better yield. KCR said four lakes will be restored, check dams will be built on Kudavelli lake and help farmers to go in for three crops a year.
“We will provide the farmers with abundant water resources and uninterrupted power supply to 2800 acres of crops in Erravalli and Narsannapet villages will get water supply to from 5 am to 11 am. Taps and drainage facility will be provided and Sarpanch of the village will resign if women or girls take to streets for drinking water”, he said.
KCR said his government was giving top priority to agriculture sector and providing permanent shelter to the poor. The construction of double bedroom houses will be completed by May 15 and opening the same by May 30, he said. Similar houses will be built for the people elsewhere in other districts. He asked the farmers to take support from the government for drip irrigation, timely water and power supply and fertilisers for better crop yield. Stressing the need for expanding greenery in every household, the Chief Minister asked the people to keep their environs clean and plant saplings to overcome pollution. (NSS)
