UAE girl missing from Delhi hotel traced in Mumbai


New Delhi: A girl from UAE who went missing from her hotel room here on March 28 was traced in Mumbai and was today reunited with her parents in the national capital.

According to police the girl, a tourist from UAE told them that “she was upset with her family members over some family issue, so she went out of the hotel herself.

“She took an auto to Nizamuddin Railway Station here and boarded a train going to Mumbai. During the train journey, she met one person who guided her to go to police station Dahesar (East) Mumbai on March 30.

“Bombay police immediately informed Delhi Police about the girl. She has been reunited with her family,” DCP south East M S Randhawa said in a statement.

The girl checked into hotel in Greater Kailash 1 here with her family on March 28, but later went missing, the police said, adding that the Delhi Police alerted their counterparts in other states and formed teams to trace her.

On March 30, Mumbai Police informed the Delhi Police that they found the girl, the official added.
