Hyderabad: Dept. of Urdu in collaboration with the Dept. of Arabic of OU is conducting a 7 day program on Urdu Prosody. The inaugural function of the program was held under the chairmanship of Prof. A. Bala Krishna, Director of Academic Staff College. Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy expressed his good wishes for the success of the program. Dr. Muid Javeed, Head of the Dept. of Urdu and coordinator of the program welcomed the guests and gave the details of the program. Prof. Mahjabeen Akhtar, Head of the Dept. of Arabic and Joint Coordinator of the program told that learning Prosody is essential for the teachers. Prof. Naidu Ashok, Principal, University College of Arts and Social Sciences told that such programs are inevitable for the teachers. Prof. Shukoor assured full cooperation from Urdu academy.
