Uttam demands KTR to tender his resignation

The Congress party has demanded the Municipal Administration Minister KT Ramarao to tender resignation immediately owning the responsibility of seven storeyed building collapse incident in which several people died.

Addressing the meeting organised to celebrate the 70th birth day of AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi in the name of ‘Thanksgiving Day’ here on Friday at Prakasham Hall at Gandhi Bhavan, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS government failed to fulfil the assurances made by it during the elections and passing time deceiving the people. The TRS government was failed to transform the Hyderabad city as Dallas more so it was destroying the existing Hyderabad. The TRS government was involving in scams and Rs.100 crore scam in GHMC came to light recently. Nanakramguda building, which has no permission for seven stores, collapse was the best example for the TRS government corruption, he said and demanded KTR to tender his resignation immediately owning the responsibility and to show ethics in politics.

He said that Sonia Gandhi had conceded separate Telangana state sticking to the word given by her keeping politics aside. Sonia’s name would long last till Telangana state exists. UPA government decisions yielded results and they showed its accountability in eradicating poverty and transparency in the governance. The credit of introducing revolutionary schemes like Food Security Act, NREGS, RTI, RTE and other goes to Sonia Gandhi, he said.

Recalling the Irrigation and Legislative Assembly Affairs Minister T Harish Rao statement that he will clean the Congress party leaders in the ensuing session, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has said that Harish Rao’s statement shows his irresponsible attitude. Assembly Affairs Minister has the responsibility of running the house smoothly and to provide a conducive atmosphere in the House for the discussion of public issues, he alleged and termed the Minister’s statement as an unfortunate one. He said that it was shameful on the part of the Minister to make such a statement thinking that the opposition parties may pull the government on double bed room houses, three acre land for daliths, muslim reservations and other issues in the House. He ridiculed that the TRS leaders were making such statements afraid of opposition parties.

Earlier, Uttam Kumar Reddy cut the cake and launched the celebrations. Opposition leader in the Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, former PCC  presidents V Hanumantha Rao, Ponnala Laxmaiah, former Union Ministers S Jaipal Reddy, Sarvey Sathyanarayana, Balaram Naik, former state ministers Danam Nagender, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, former MP Anjan Kumar YAdav, TPCC general secretary Premlal, Laxman Goud, Niranjan, Azmathullah Hussiani, Vinod Reddy, former Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, Youth Congress state president Anil Kumar Yadav and others participated in the celebrations.

The Youth Congress activists organised a blood donation camp in the Gandhi Bhavan.

On the other hand, Congress Mahila President Nerella Sharadha organised a Medical Camp at Moulali Housing Board Colony marking Sonia Gandhi birthday celebrations. The doctors held checkups and gave medicine at free of cost. (NSS)
