AICC Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Mr. V Hanumanth Rao said that Majlis is not the contractor of Hyderabad. Congress by allying with link-minded secular parties is working on the strategy to defeat communal and opportunist elements in GHMC elections. Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr. V Hanumanth Rao said we were also born in Hyderabad and Hyderabad is ours too. He slammed MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi for threatening settlers and those who have shifted Hyderabad from other districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Asad Owaisi has said ‘Hyderabad is for Hyderabadis’ which we strongly condemn, said Mr. Rao. He claimed that Congress is a secular party which is fighting against communalism for years. Congress party will show its strength in old city. He felt that many leaders and corporator of MIM are feeling suffocated in Majlis and are keeping in touch with Congress. Soon many of them will be giving a jolt to Majlis he asserted.
