Five persons of two families were killed on the spot when a car in which they were travelling dashed against a speeding lorry at Tekrial in Kamareddy mandal of Nizamabad district on Wednesday.
According to the information, the deceased started from Nizamabad to go to Hyderabad in a car. When the ill-fated car reached Tekrial, a lorry was entering Kamareddy town. To escape from the lorry, the driver of the car increased the speed and dashed against another lorry coming in the opposite direction. Harsha, son of one Laxman of Alooru village of Nizamabad, Nikhitha and Bharath, daughter and son of Praveen of Velmal village in Nandipet mandal of Nizamabad district along with their fathers died on the spot. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Kamareddy area hospital. As Harsha, Nikitha and Bharat passed SSC examination recently, their fathers Laxman and Praveen were taking them in the car to Hyderabad to admit them into a junior college. But unfortunately all the five died in the ghastly accident.
On knowing the incident, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his shock over the ghastly accident. Minister from Nizamabad district Pocharam Srinivas Reddy visited the hospital and enquired about the accident and consoled the family members. (NSS)
