Video: Woman exposes EVM fraud in UP election

NEW DELHI: The news of tampering with EVM machine in the assembly elections 2017 held in five states is in tune these days.

A video with a name ‘Proof of UP Voting Machine SCAM!’ has surfaced in which a woman is accusing similarly.

In the video uploaded on the YouTube by page named “India Against BJP”, the woman claimed that the person sitting as election officer just pressing the button on ‘Lotus’ in favour of BJP.

When the women goes to cast votes, he says that the machine is not working, but he does not turn it on, she alleged.

When asked whom she wanted to vote for, the woman said that she is a supporter of Mayawati and wants to vote for her party’s candidate named Haji.

BSP supremo Mayawati on Saturday claim that electronic voting machines were rigged and demand for a repoll using ballot papers was legally untenable.

But Election Commission (EC) has refuted the allegations of tampering of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), as levelled by BSP supremo.

Supporting the allegation put forth by Mayawati in connection to the EVMs, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday said that her concern should be properly looked into.
