Congress and Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen had war of words over 4 percent Muslim reservation issue. Both the parties were trying hard to take the credit for 4 percent reservations. It must be recalled that leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Assembly had given PowerPoint presentation in the house giving proof that 4 pc reservations were implemented in Congress rule on which leaders of Town Majlis Nizamabad declared it wrong saying that the efforts for reservations began during the period of late Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi hence the credit of reservations goes to MIM.
Speaking to journalists at Congress Bhawan, Vice President District Congress Mohammed Fayyazuddin, President District Congress Minority Department Sameer Ahmed said that the argument of MIM regarding implementation of 4 pc reservations is false and misleading. He challenged MIM leaders to take oath on Quran and then say that the credit of reservation goes to MIM. He claimed that MIM top leaders always tell lies.
