JEDDAH: Dubbed as “The Gulf Miracle” and “Qatari ambassador of childhood”, Ghanim Al-Miftah has fulfilled his dream of performing Umrah.

Wearing the white seamless Ihram cloth the Qatari “miracle child” performed Umrah despite his physical disability.

Born with Caudal Regression Syndrome, the 15-year-old refused to use a wheel chair and circumambulated the Kaaba seven times on his hands as a part of the tawaf ritual, Qatari daily Al Sharq reported on Saturday.

“Allah answered my prayers and I was able to perform Umrah and circumambulate the Kaaba on my hands. The assistance that I received was the reason behind this achievement,” he told Arab News.

Caudal Regression Syndrome is a rare disorder that impairs the development of the lower spine.

Pictures and video clips of Al-Miftah performing Umrah rituals were posted on social media.

With six branches of an ice cream company, Al-Miftah is the youngest entrepreneur in Qatar.

The 9th grade student at Al Doha Academy is also a swimmer, ice skater, professional scuba diver and mountain climber
