Watch video: Verses from Quran or Bible, a tight slap on Islam haters

Copenhagen: Dutch media company Dit Is Normaal conducted “The Holy Quran Experiment” to dispel misconceptions about Islam in the wake of the recent Paris attacks and the shooting in San Bernardino.

“Our experiment was a way to highlight our prejudice as a society about Islam, one that has been fed to us through mass media over the past couple of years,” Alexander Spoor of Dit Is Normaal wrote to The Huffington Post in an email.

The duo disguised a Bible as a Quran and chose specific Biblical passages that are far out of touch with modern Western culture.

They went out onto the streets of Netherlands and read the passages loud like:

‘If two men sleep with each other they will both have to be killed,‘ to casual observer, making them believe that they were reading from the Quran.

They then ask the members of the public to give their opinion on the readings to get average person’s thoughts on Islam.

After readings, they gave the differences between holy Quran as “aggressive,” and described the Bible as “more peaceful” and “positive.”

They were visibly astonished when presenter Sacha Harland revealed the surprise, saying: ‘These beautiful verses from the Quran are actually from the Bible.

Muslims have been accused of practicing a religion that is completely irreconcilable with the values of Western culture and this social Experiment proves that anything shocking in Islamic religion has a counterpart in Christianity.
