I won’t pardon my son if proved guilty: Ravela Kishore Babu

Hyderabad: AP Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu today said if his son Sushil was found guilty in woman harassment case, he will definitely have to face consequences.
The minister reacted when leader of the Opposition YS Jagan raised the issue of the minister’s son Sushil stalking a woman teacher in Banjara Hills recently, in the Assembly. Kishore Babu said he himself asked his son to surrender before the Banjara Hills police after coming to know that a case was registered against him. “I myself will not pardon if my son was found guilty in the case”, the minister said.
Earlier, when the session began in the morning, the leader of the Opposition Jagan and Ravela traded allegations and counter allegations against each other over the issue. The minister said, “The TDP always gives respect to women and the alleged victim woman is like my daughter. I asked the police to probe into the allegations”.
Ravela alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy was prime accused in sensational Paritala Ravindra murder case. But former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy got his son’s (Jagan) name deleted from the case. “But I never do like this if my son was involved in the case. Ravela also pointed out he handed over his son to police to interrogate whether his son was involved or not in the case.
Taking a dig at Ravela’s charge, Jagan said the minister was taking his name when his (minister’s) son was involved in a such heinous crime. Jagan asked how Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was allowing the Social Welfare minister in his cabinet? It was shame to keep the minister whose son was involved in a woman’s atrocity case in the cabinet, Jagan said.(NSS)
