300 evacuated Indians to be quarantined in special facility

New Delhi: In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in China’s Wuhan region, the Indian authorities have decided to evacuate its citizens still struck in China.

According to new developments, these evacuated Indians will be quarantined in a specially prepared facility in Manesar near Delhi, the Indian Army said, NDTV reported.

This specially prepared facility will house approximately 300 students who shall be  over the next two weeks for signs of any infection from the virus.

Upon their arrival in India, the Indian students will be screened at the airport by a joint team of Airport Health Authority (AHO) and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).

Any individual suspected of infection will be shifted to an isolation ward at Base Hospital Delhi Cantonment (BHDC).
